Tie-on Pants

Someone on another thread mentioned using tie-on plastic pants from Boots, and how the one size can be used from newborn to hefty toddler. Has anyone else tried them?

I've never tried the tie-on ones, so will be interested to know how anyone gets on with them. I prefer the pull-on type myself. One of my cousins who lives in America has just come back to the UK for a holiday, and has given me a pack of two "Dabbi" plastic pants. Actually, they're not plastic, they're nylon, and very lightweight and waterproof, with nice soft leg openings. They fit very well over pinned terry nappies. Does anyone know whether you can buy them in the UK?

The name is "DAPPI", not dabbi!!

My mum used them with my brothers when they were small (20+years ago!!!) and I remember that they were really easy to use (I did my fair share of changing my brothers nappies as they were much younger than me!) and excellent at avoiding leaks, but I am still surprised to hear they are still around!!! And I think I would still prefer the velcro wraps myself. But having said that I will be going to boots to get some as spares for wraps for the days I don't get the washing done in time!

Rainbowdays. When you say you are surprised they are still around, do you mean the tie-on pants or the Dappi pants?

Boomally - tie-on, sorry have never come across Dappi pants!

That's what I thought you meant. Dappi pants are American, and were given to me as a present. I was just interested to know if anyone else had used them, or whether you can get them in the UK? Thanks anyway.
