Clothes for a long baby

Any advice on shops which do babygros for lanky infants? DS is 6 weeks and growing out of 0-3 as he has very long legs but his arms are normal length and I’m rolling the sleeves up twice to get them to fit. The HV says he’s only 2nd centile for height and he’s about 9lbs but his feet are right at the ends of everything we’ve got.

H&M do footless ones, I used to use those with socks for my lanky boy.

Lindex zippy sleepsuits have no feet and last forever!

Cut the feet off.

The babygro not the baby obviously 😱

We found Next was pretty slim cut. Next also have fold over mitts as standard, so when you roll them up to shorten the sleeves they stay in place really well.
Avoid M&S! I can't remember what other shops are like, sorry.
But agree with others that footless ones are probably the way to go.

Cut the feet off.

That’s the most obvious solution which hadn’t even occurred to me 🤦‍♀️

Will also try next, thank you @OliverKitten

We barely bought a thing as been given bags of cast offs from friends and the clothes are from all sorts of brands but no next.

The Tesco ones are the best fit so far. He’s been getting annoyed at hitching a leg up when he’s sleeping then getting his foot stuck when trying to stretch it out again and the Tesco ones are the only ones where that doesn’t happen because the legs are much narrower. But he’s starting to outgrow those as of a day ago.

I find the Boots/Mothercare ones a but longer and slim fitting than some but often have the problem with the arms not fitting in most brands for my long slim DD. H&M generally seem slim fitting.

I actually find the footless ones quite annoying as a lot of them have short legs leaving a gap between the socks and legs (less of a problem in summer) and baby socks are annoying to keep on. The zip up ones from Bonds are slim fitting but a bit expensive and I don't really like the designs (have seen a few other brands doing similar ones with nicer designs but they are all quite pricey). They are quite useful as they have the option of feet covered or not.
