What's your daily routine and schedule?

I have a DS and dog, work full time and commute 1.5h each way (the current company mandate lis 3 days a week).

I'm trying to figure out the best way I can do the nursery runs, work, commute, dog walks and still have time to do some exercise, cook healthy meals, do the house chores and have a bit of me time without totally running on empty.

We already outsource a cleaner to come once ever 2 weeks so does a large bulk.

DH is a massive help on the days he can, but he works in the emergency services and has rota shifts so on some days isn't around to help as he is at work.

How do you manage to fit it all in without running on fumes?
What is your schedule and routine?

My schedule goes a little like this

6am: Wake/shower/get myself ready
6:30am: wake DS if he's not already awake, get him ready
7:15am: leave house and drop to nursery for 7:30
7:30am: commute to work
8am: work
4pm: I should ideally finish work but can be there up till 5:30pm latest
5:30-6pm: pick up DS
6:15pm: home, sort out dinner, quality time with DS
7:30pm-8:15pm: bedtime routine do DS
8:30pm: DH gets home if it's his working day. He works shifts./ quality time with DH
10:30pm: bed

My day is pretty full on don't really get much time for myself. On top of this I'm at uni too and pregnant with no.2 . I'd say weekends I can make up for it but weekends are dedicated to quality family time and the housework that I neglected during the week. Soon as I start Mat leave I'll be able to slow down a little.

Congrats on your pregnancy!
Your schedule definitely sounds jam packed + doing uni as well! I can only admire how you're bossing it.

I currently feel I'm constantly on the back foot and can't please anyone (especially work)- especially if I need to make nursery pick up.

At first I found it difficult with work. Felt guilty leaving work to pick up m my DS from nursery when they called. But once I settled into a routine it got easier. Work understood and have been accommodating. If your unsure speak to your manager I am sure you'll be able to come up with an agreement or if needed a flexible working agreement to be put in place.

I am a single parent to 3dcs, we have a dog and I work 25 hours a week. Today is a work day so I will give you run down of how today will look.

6am get up, shower, get ready.
6:30 feed cat, let dog out, empty dishwasher, make lunches.
7am wake children, breakfast etc, chivvy them along!
7:45 leave for work with youngest (eldest are teens so get themselves to school). Youngest comes to work with me until 8:30 when he goes next door to school.
4pm finish work (youngest child has been collected by a friend and dropped to me at work).
Go home and walk dog, do laundry, Hoover, mop.
6pm dinner followed by homework, showers, any other housework that needs doing.
8pm youngest goes to bed and I've usually got a load of laundry to fold so will watch tv and catch up with my teens. Usually go to sleep around 11.
