Regular nosebleeds in toddler

Hi I’m just wondering if anyone can help as I’ve accidentally googled myself into an absolute panic, my 3yo is no stranger to nosebleeds and has had them on and off probably since being about 18 months but I’d say maybe once a month if that.

They seem to have really ramped up recently and he’s had about 6 in the last 8 days, mostly overnight but sometimes in the day (in the day it’s usually when he sneezes). Most clear up within 5 mins or less but today we had one that was more like 10 minutes.

He otherwise seems fine in himself, other than a possible touch of hayfever (less than ideal with the sneezing mentioned above). Google has told me all sorts of terrible things. Has anyone’s toddler been through similar? I’m thinking of booking a GP appointment and bought a humidifier today to see if this helps overnight.

Ds1 suffered terribly with nosebleeds from around 18 months. Definitely worse during hot weather and hayfever season. Eventually the doctor prescribed naseptin which helped a little. We also gave an antihistamine during the summer and made sure he was very well hydrated.

He's 15 now and nosebleeds are very occasional. By about 12 they had improved massively. As a toddler/young child it was awful.

I massively suffered from nosebleeds as a child. Got them all the time.

It can't hurt to speak to the GP and see what they say, but could very easily be nothing to worry about

I don’t think it would do any harm to see the GP, just to set your mind at ease, but I also don’t think it’s necessarily anything to worry about. I and my youngest child have nosebleeds. I’ve had them ever since I can remember and my DD had them since being a baby. Weirdly, we also both suffer with hay fever! Maybe it is having spells of dry eyes/dry nose that causes it.

One of mine had regular nosebleeds.
Gradually became fewer as she has grown but they were / are always more frequent in different weather conditions.
When I took her to the Doctor they said it was just one of those things and they wouldn't look into it until she turned 7, but she never needed anything done - she just learned to deal with it.
