My baby has never been one to cry, people always comment how content he always is, would maybe cry every couple of days for food. He had his 4 months jabs on Wednesday and for 48 hours was very close to a fever and crying a lot. Wanted to just sleep. He was back by Saturday to his usually self playing and laughing. However since the jabs like 4/5 times a day he’s having crying fits where he cry’s for like half an hour. He eventually stops when soothed but takes a long time.

i also noticed I like last time where he had a pea sized lump under his injection site. This time he has a very large lump underneath bigger than a 50p. The dr said as it’s not red everything is ok and will eventually.

could he still be in pain from his jabs all these days later? He does seem to have abit of nose congestion so maybe could have a bit of cold?

any advise appreciated from a ftm thanks

It’s possible but I’d say it’s a lot more likely to be teething or developmental stuff. 4 months is notorious for fussy babies as they’re developing really quickly around then (sleep often goes wonky too)

Probably nothing to do with the jabs but because he's had them you link them together.

My 4m old twins are having crying stages too but I put it down to their teeth. They're definitely teething. Especially my girl twin when other people either hold her or even touch her arm. She screams! But I think at this point they're very aware of unfamiliar faces too.

Also can be normal for injection site to be raised

Thank you for the replies , hmm thinking teething now I can’t see any difference on his gums but he’s definitely been a lot more aggressive with chewing his toys/teethers. Also a lot more drool/dribble lately.

his sleep has definitely gone wonky , he’s gone from sleeping through to waking a couple times crying. Also interesting you mention the unfamiliar faces he’s cried a lot when visitors are here and when being held by ‘strangers’
