15 m/o ds language development?

Hi everyone
My DS turns 15 months in 9 days. His babbling is different to how his older sisters' was at the same age, because I looked back on old videos.
His is more isolated sounds. He says 'mama's lot. It doesn't mean Mom, it means 'I want x,you or z'.
He says 'Uh oh'. He says 'ah ah' which means don't do that it's bold'
He sometimes says dada but it's rare. He says 'baba' which means 'breastfeed'
But mainly it's just mama he says.
His sister at this age was talking loads of gibberish. Lalalalala sounds etc while mimicking being on the phone.
My son understands a lot. He shakes his hesd for no and he points at what he wants.
He claps, walks, smiles etc. All of that seems on point. It's just the language.
He also likes to rub things of the back of his head, around the base of his head near his neck. That's another behaviour which I find a bit concerning.
I'm wondering if all of this sounds normal to you guys? Can babbling come in different forms with different babies?
Thanks

How does he score on this SLT progress checker @Rololola?

Thank you for informing me about this resource. I didn't know it existed. This is how he scored. This is for the 12 month category though but it's still positive I suppose?

It sounds about right to me OP. My daughter had very few words at 15 months but is speaking in fluent sentences now at two and a half.

Thank you very much. Hopefully this will be the case for my little guy! I appreciate your response.

I think it's fine. Their website says they if they are between the assessment ages, you go for the younger one not the older.

There's another one at 18 months. If you've still got any concerns you could wait till then and do that one?

Rololola · 01/05/2023 20:46

That's what I'll do. Thank you very much for your reply and advice.
