I air dry them, and if necessary finish them on the radiator or in the dryer. They take about 2 days.

they do take forever, don't think there is much way of getting round it. You could try an extra spin in the washing machine to see if you can knock a bit more water out of then.

babyjjbaby · 17/02/2008 12:02

thanks they have dried now might try the extra spin thiong

I tumble dry for around 45 minutes which keeps them soft then they dry overnight on the airer after that.

tassisssss · 18/02/2008 21:35

my tots are cotton not bamboo

i dry on radiators

CarGirl · 18/02/2008 21:35

kateje if you are tumbling them then you will be losing fabric - some of that lovely fluff will be off your nappies making them less absorbant.

I tumble dry them in winter then finish off on radiator overnight. Line dry in the summer- they don't take much longer than other nappies on the line.

Flamesparrow · 18/02/2008 22:31

I have never had any shrinkage issues that I have noticed

bizarrely if you tumble them first then air dry them I think you lose less fluff and they are def softer!!! My other suggestion is use soap nuts with my rock hard thames valley water they def make my clothes and nappies softer.

laundrylover · 19/02/2008 11:21

I used to radiator dry mine but would have them out on the line right now if DD2 wasn't out of nappies...am missing my nappies!!!!!! Had to pop back onto nappy threads for therapy.

CarGirl · 19/02/2008 11:56

I am so nearly nappy free dd4 seems to be potty trained (this is day 4) busy selling all my nappies I feel liberated, but perhaps that is nearly 6 years and 3 children in washables.........
