I mean how do you answer
"Explain how you develop and maintain trust at work and why confidentiality is so important in building and maintaining trust"
other than be honest & don't gossip

And as for
"~ Assess your own leadership behaviours and potential by referring to a relevant leadership model, your organisation?s working practises, and by collecting feedback from others.

~ Describe what actions you could take to improve as a leader"

????

and finally

"Identify factors that will influence your choice of leadership styles and explain why your leadership styles are likely to positively affect your team"

HUH?

I am obviously on a differnet planet

Will this

"To develop and maintain trust honesty is important. Hiding things or telling selective staff is divisive and will destroy rather than create trust. Being open and answering question honestly (even if ?I don?t know? is the answer) will aid the continuation of trust.

Confidentiality is very important, because gossiping about anything can lead to a lack of trust about their situation being talked about."

answer the first one - it seems a bit sparse.

I am sorry, I just saw this - I'm not a student parent but I used to be a student! I don't know what course you're on or anything, but for the first one, I would say something like:

In order to establish and develop trust at work, staff need to have confidence in my abilities and they need to be able to rely on my honesty and integrity. They need to believe that I will listen to them and respect what they are saying. Someone in a position of authority has to be responsible in order to be trusted. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in building and maintaining trust at work because if confidentiality is broken, the person whose trust has been breached will find it very difficult to place their trust in the same place again. If a member of staff tells me something in confidence, and I am discreet about it, they will trust me.

Don't know if this helps any - I hope so! Sorry if I've been a bit long-winded. You pretty much said the same thing, in a more concise manner

Yours is better

Thanks

I'd say that you need to research leadership styles, pick the one that you thinks suits and then explain why it's positive to your team etc. if you want to be really clever, you could use a leadership style you don't like and say how this was detrimental etc.

callmeovercautious · 17/02/2008 22:27
