How much do babies change between nine months and one?

My baby is exactly nine months. He's seven and a half months corrected. He's lovely but only just starting to crawl and seems like such a small baby.

We have a nursery place for him in August, when he is due to be one year and three weeks. How much can I expect him to change between now and then?

I can just about afford to stay off work until January but it won't be easy, although dithering as he seems so young.

Honestly it feels like my son has been doing something new every few days since 9/10 months. He’s a year now and still surprising me with all the bits he’s doing seemingly out of nowhere! So they do change a lot

Thank you. He seems so little and dependent at the moment. I mean he's wonderful just such a baby.

A lot. Think about what he was like 3 months ago and how much he's changed in that time too.

Huge changes, but I would definitely keep that adjusted age in mind.

Mine is 13mo now and I think he's just about ready for nursery.

At 9 months our DS hadn’t started babbling he could maybe stand when supported but definitely hadn’t tried walking or taking any steps. I’m not even sure he could even crawl (he wasn’t much of a crawler)

But 1 he could say mama, daddy and doggie used lots of signs to tell us what he wanted and he could walk if you were holding his hand.

He changed so much!

I don’t really know what ready for nursery means though, DS went at around 6.5 months and he always got on well there.

Thank you all. Sometimes I think he is ready, other times I worry so much. He doesn't have any words, just babbling

Mine didn't walk or talk until around 2 (no issues identified and he's a bright 8 year old now) but was very happy at nursery from a year. It was weird seeing his little friends toddling and he'd be crawling to keep up but it didn't seem to worry him!

A lot! Went from being such a contented quiet little thing happy to sit on one spot for ages to a walking tearaway terror very fond of shouting NO. Might be different with adjusted ages though IDK.
