Newborn Sling/carrier - ergobaby embrace or besafe newborn haven or similar

I'm looking for a newborn Sling that's an easy to wear material for the first year. I have a stokke carrier but looking for something softer but easier to use than an unstructured ring sling.

I like the look of the ergobaby embrace or the besafe newborn haven. But they don't seem to have much head support.

Does anyone have experience with these? Any other recommendations? Unfortunately, I can't find a shop or sling library that is very local to me.

Thank you

Sorry I have no experience on the carriers you mentioned. I've always used baby bjorn mini in jersey fabric when mine were little. Felt like they had enough support, was soft and super easy to use. Around the house I used a sling and found the caboo sling really good as it's already pre wrapped really so you just have to pop it over your head.these are links to both of them:

Thank you. How did you find the headsupport in the babybjorn carrier?

Close caboo was the best newborn sling for me. Lasted till she was about 4 months, then we used an ergo and then a tula.

Depends how old baby is, and how big. I loved my close caboo for my firstborn (she was dinky) but not for my second (he was solid!), So I used a soft structured carrier instead - a mamaruga zensling which was brill for us.
Also depends on your size with a structured carrier. We now use a wompat toddler carrier (he's 14 months) but have used a tula which we loved too.

You'll need something for the tiny baby stage and then most likely something different from 4 months or so.

Can't recommend the Embrace - very little head support and they way in which you tighten the straps can put pressure halfway down baby's spine. The back should be rounded. So don't bother with the embrace. (stupid me bought after seeing it on an Instagram influencer....)

We loved the Marsupi Classic and the Marsupi Breeze, and switched to an Ergobaby soft structured at around 4/5 months.

I preferred soft stretchy wraps when they were really tiny. I had a home made one, a Kari-me, a Hana and a Boba wrap. My favourite was the home made one followed by the Boba. I found the other two too stretchy.

Do you have a sling library or sling meet near you? Those can be good places to try out different types and see what suits you.

IME you can use a stretchy wrap until around 9 months for a smaller baby, or 4/5 months for a heavy/chunky baby.

Close caboo is great, depending on how tall you are ergo might be too long especially if you're under 5'5". Beco Gemini/Soleil come with inserts for newborn and you can use up to toddlerhood. JPMBB is a fab wrap if you don't want buckles. I would stay away from baby Bjorn as the baby's legs just hang instead of the 'frog like' position that is better for their hips. If you have a sling library close by that will be great as you can try a few out.

We used a stretchy wrap initially (any will do) and used an embrace for about two months (6weeks ish to 3 months ish). I found once she got a bit bigger it’s not very supportive so we’ve now got a mamaruga and a Tula standard for longer walks. Love both of them.
