Easter playdates

Hi all,
Looking for some advice and words of wisdom please!

We are fairly new to our area (moved in Dec) and DD (3y) attends a local nursery 5 days a week. I went to a parent meeting with her key worker yesterday who said she is quite self assured and is happy in her own company. However I can see she is beginning to try and make friends and asks me at home how to invite play with others.

The key worker recommended going on play dates to improve her confidence and build relationships.
My question being - do I put an open invite on the class WhatsApp asking if anyone wants a play date over Easter? I’m not sure about how I go about this? DD doesn’t have a “special friend” who I could ask and I worry how two might get on (as well as me and their parent too!)
This social minefield is all new to me! Thanks in advance for any advice.

Suggest a meet up at a local park one morning/afternoon.

Chat more at pick up times and you might find that a child lives nearby or goes to the same park.
Also listen out and watch for children your daughter is fond of playing with.
It would be an easy outing to visit a nearby cafe or park.

I would maybe do a 'we are going to the playground/cafe/park around 11am if anyone wants to join us'

Go and stay till 12

Of course variations on the above

If there isn't a particular connection with a specific child then yes a class message as suggested above is perfect.
