When did you stop co sleeping

DS is 15mo and goes in his cot 7-11/12 then is in our bed so most of the night!

It’s a habit I started when he got to nursery and picked up bugs I just got him in our bed it was easier than going to his room to settle him etc

but now many many months in, I am struggling to get him to stay. In his cot longer

im not trying for a full night immediately! We need to build up to it, he’s been so used to this and I’m changing it I feel bad but it’s more so we can all get good sleep in our own beds

however because of this habit it’s like he’s wired to wake around 11/12 if he’s not in our bed or being cuddled

when did you stop co sleeping? I feel so much pressure from my boyfriend (DS’ dad) family and my boyfriends family everyone makes comments

"When children are small, the days are long but the years are short"

I love this. It's exactly what I needed to hear.

I didn't co sleep with my eldest. He was a terribly sleeper and I just wish I hadn't made life so difficult by listening to the outside opinions on what I should be doing!

My youngest have semi co slept his whole life. He's almost 3 and o do feel it's weaning now and I'll miss it so much 🙈

The key to surviving parenthood is doing things that work for you and and that you think is right. Also don't be hard on yourself.

Just rembwe EVERYONE has an opinion when it comes to being a mum!!

Mine has just started going (and staying) in his next2me forever at 6mo. I am sad about it though - I loved going to bed with him and having cuddles but his rolling was worrying me and also he never slept longer than 45min bursts so it didn’t appear to be comforting him much anymore. Since I started putting him down in his cot for day naps, the nights have sort of come naturally. I have mourned over several evenings 😂

If it suits you and you’re enjoying the bonding time then sod what anyone else says. They’re only little for a short time!
