MIL has said start 11 month old on cows milk

Just as the title says!

We were talking the other day about formula and how it keeps going up in price. Just a general conversation among talking about prices rising. My MIL then said stop formula and start cows milk. Which I replied "but we only have a month left on it till she turns one"

I've been thinking about it, not even starting my little girl on it because 4 weeks on formula till we do the cows milk isn't a huge amount of time. And it's not money either, we can more than afford it.

But I was curious, did anyone start their little ones early on cows milk? I was more concerned at the affects it could have before one year of age

It doesn't have to be all or nothing though.
Mix formula and cows milk to get them used to the flavour.
Then you can decide whether you do formula in the morning and cows milk during the day, or formula at night or any other type of regime if you don't want to go cows milk only.

My two breastfed or had formula in bottles, but anything else e.g cereal and drinks from a sippy cup were cows milk from about 8 months.

Bottles were ditched completely at 12 months as per the medical advice at the time. (They were early 2000s babies.) We were told it was terrible for their teeth to keep bottle feeding after that.

Mix it in the bottle gradually and up it each few days

Don't forget to start giving a daily vitamin if you move to cows milk.
