Hi,

I am in the process of sleep training with my 12 month old daughter to slep in her own cot, finding it very hard hearing her cry so much and just leaving her. i put her dummy in and she seems to settle back down. Any tips or advice please.

Our twin girls are just over a year. They've been used to there cots since 6 months tho. But still go to bed with 1 bottle full next to them, 2 dummies as if they lose one they search in dark for the other Favourite blanket for one and favourite doll for the other. Best thing dont respond to the crying. If yo know she has milk and dummy and fav thing with her then don't respond everytime and when you do just walk in, tuck her up again no speaking and walk back out. One of our girls also preferred classical music on Spotify while the other hated noise so they sleep in diffrent rooms now lol. Gl persevere and you will see results after a few nights. Ours pretty much always sleep nights now and on the odd time one doesnt we go back to the in room ,tuck up and back out

And if your able to do the same in there day nap she will soon pick up what you want from her..As soon as we say nap time the girls will automatically look for there fav thing and walk to there cots with it and they get so excited when they see that bottle of milk waiting for them as that's pretty much all they get now milk wise there day nap and night time. Our boys who are 2 took a little longer with training but still same way thay we used. Now it's all potty training now 🤣 get yourself some sleep and rest your little one is fine 🙂
