Is developing PPD/PPA when your child is close to a year old, rather than shortly after they're born a thing? I feel like the cumulative effects of everything we've struggled with throughout DC's life so far has caught up with me.

Definitely can be a thing. Like the realisation that life is completely different for ever/weight of responsibilities etc. make a gp app or self refer to your mental health provider xxx

@bbyno2 thank you. It's not so much the grief of what was, it's things like sleep deprivation which then becomes a vicious cycle. I'm happy to speak to someone but I feel like I'd be wasting people's time.

I had this OP - ended up going to GP for help when DC was 13 months old. As you say, an accumulative effect of birth trauma, a difficult postnatal period and prolonged sleep deprivation. I suddenly couldn't cope anymore. Get yourself to the GP, they will take you seriously.
