Are my boobs always going to be this droopy?

Breastfeeding my 15 month old still. My boobs are totally ruined and point downwards. Do they get better once you stop breastfeeding or is this it now?

OP posts:

I think it depends how big they are, mine have never recovered and still point south, but when breast feeding was over they did fill out again (looked like big empty socks with rocks in 😂) while my DSis breastfed twice but is a B/C cup and hers perked back up when she stopped and they ‘filled out’ again…

SomeonesRealName · 09/03/2023 20:50

Mine went more or less back to normal after two years of breastfeeding but it took about another two years for them to do so.

chartreuseabuse · 09/03/2023 20:54

Wait a couple of years, mine parked right up!

Mine never went back to normal. They still look flat, empty and droopy 7 years later. Sorry OP!

ArseMenagerie · 09/03/2023 21:00

One of mine did. The other stayed flat.

joking. They both perked up but it took 5 years…

junglistmassive · 09/03/2023 21:02

Mine have perked up again after 4 years but they are bigger!

minipie · 09/03/2023 21:05

I BF for a year with both DC and boobs never pointed south. Sorry that doesn’t necessarily help you much OP.

Chest fly, press ups and other chest exercises make a big difference to boob perkiness.

gamerchick · 09/03/2023 21:06

Yeah they did take a hit. Lifting weights has massively improved the chest area though.

Corah5 · 09/03/2023 21:07

Sorry, bf ruins your boobs. If they’re both the same size afterwards you’re one of the lucky ones!

Lotsofthingstoconsider · 09/03/2023 21:09

I think one of the biggest lies of the breast feeding lobby is how 'your boobs will look great after' .. NO THEY DON'T !!! I look like a cow who has been recently milked .. low saggy and down to my navel.

Would I of missed the experience of feeding my children from my own body ? The answer is a categorical NO.. my boobs used to be absolutely perfect.. but I would never of wanted to miss that experience.

BreadInCaptivity · 09/03/2023 21:14

I think it depends. Mine were a small b cup before bf and a year after ending feeding were a perky c cup (didn't get above a small D whilst feeding so they didn't grow massively).

I'm definitely happier with my post baby breasts, but I think its probably more impactful if you were larger to start with in the sense of volume/gained lost and skin elasticity.

Toloveandtowork · 09/03/2023 21:28

My NCT mum friend made us all laugh when she said that no matter where her baby was in her big bed, her boobs would easily reach them.

locomum83 · 09/03/2023 21:31

I've been either pregnant and or breastfeeding now for 8 years over 3 kids, mines are now destroyed, although they weren't too bad after my first baby, and even the 2nd, but this third chap has them pummelled to within an inch of their tired droopy lives.
It gets me down, not down as low as my boobs, but pretty low, even my DH laughs at them, I just wear a bra all the time now and sleep in a supportive crop top. I live in hope 💪

SadGirl6 · 09/03/2023 21:38

If you had small boobs and they went massive while pregnant/breastfeeding then yes they probably are ruined for life. I was a B and went to an F breastfeeding. Back to an empty, saggy B after. Completely destroyed and only a boob job will fix them. Some women are lucky and their breasts don’t grow/change that much.

Schmutter · 09/03/2023 21:46

Mine never drooped as such, but when I stopped bf, the top bit seemed quite empty.

They completely recovered within about 6 months. I am 51 now and have perky, pencil test passing boobs to be proud of.

It’s probably fair to note that many of my friends lament their spaniel’s ears boobs, and most of them barely breastfed at all!

addictedtotheflats · 09/03/2023 22:12

Mine look near enough back to "normal". I bf for 2.5 years and stopped 18 months ago

Much the same here. I'm in my 50s, I breastfed four children for a total of 10 years. I was an A cup before, now an F cup, with great boobs that aren't at all droopy. I think it's mostly down to luck.

The pregnancy ruined your boobs not the breastfeeding

No it doesn't this is a myth! Pregnancy 'ruins' your boobs not breastfeeding.

Similar.

Why so snarky? A woman being proud of any part of their body is something to be pleased about imo. Our bodies are amazing and we are pummelled with so much unrealistic shit in terms of how they "should be", that being able to circumvent that expectation should be celebrated

DappledThings · 09/03/2023 23:24

I don't think mine are any different after two pregnancies and 2 x 14 months bf

I think it depends on what you atart off with. I have always been pretty flat chested. They didn't grow when I was pregnant or when breast feeding, so no droop, no strech marks (and no boobs to speak of really Sad)
