If your baby napped at these times- when would you start doing bedtime?

My DD is not a reliable sleeper and napper yet. She is nearly 9 months.

She currently wakes every 2 hours in the night (sometimes more frequently). She has two naps a day, but these can be as short as 10 minutes. 45 minutes is the upper limit. She fights every attempt
to go sleep.

Thankfully me and DH can just roll with it due to our schedules. She is a happy baby- never cranky, always smiling. She never ever seems tired.

Today she has uncharacteristically done the following.

9:40-11:10- Nap 🤯
11.10- Feed for 20 minutes
11.30-12.15- Contact nap on me 🤯
12:15-2:50- Lunch and play
2:50- Another bloody nap and still napping, 40ish minutes and counting… 🤯

This is unheard of and I am thrown. When should I attempt to start winding her down and then bedtime?!

I’d stick to your normal routine - she’s sleeping a pretty normal amount got her age today, so I wouldn’t shake things up too much. You may find she even sleeps better tonight due to not being overtired.

She might also be coming down with something, hence all the sleeping!

I'd just do bedtime when you normally do
it. Key with naps and waking / bedtimes is consistency regardless of what goes on in the day

I’d stick with your usual time. With both mine they usually slept better at night if they had good naps. Fingers crossed for you.

Usual time

I wouldn't let her nap after eating. Wake her up and get her to play. She's napping too much in the day, no wonder she's up all night.

My ds was at nursery at that age and was down to a 1 nap after an early lunch at 11:30.

Thanks to everyone who has read the post- I will get her to bed at her usual time and see how we go.

What time does she wake? I'd aim for nap one at about 9/9.30 ideally for 30/40 mins and nap two at around 1/1.30 for ideally 1.5 hours
