Best nappy pant suggestions?

My little girl is 10 and a half months old now and I can no longer put a normal nappy on her, it's impossible. She won't cooperate at all. We put her in a nappy pant at night and I've finally thought just nappy pants 24/7.

I've used little angel ones which I think are really small sizing. Aldi start at number 5 and my little girl is in number 4. Tescos F&F we are currently using but I've noticed even if she's done 2 wee's in it the little jelly beads are on her skin when I change her. I noticed it the other day after not even a heavy nappy. Rascal and friends are huge in sizing, just leak. I'm not a fan at all of them.

Any suggestions welcome, I know I sound so picky

If your planning on using pull ups to potty train in the future nappy pants won't work.
All children go through a non cooperative stage, does playing with her, blowing Raspberries, tickling or giving a toy not help? Most childcare don't take nappy pants as it takes so much longer to change a nappy having to strip off shoes, tights and trousers.

Eh, I've never had an issue with either potty training or childcare with nappy pants, and we switched the same age as the OP for both of mine, for similar reasons.

With girls they are so much more convenient for skirts and dresses as well.

I've never known anyone IRL who uses pull ups as a route to potty training. Just use Oh Crap or something similar 🤷‍♀️

OP, we use Tesco personally.

Oh, and only take off one shoe and trouser /tights leg to change btw. There's no need for both and it speeds it up.

We use Tesco ones and are fine, think you must have just been unlucky.

Not sure what size they start at but I find all the supermarket ones to be good - Lidl, Morrisons, Asda, aldi, Tesco.

Only ones that I thought were a bit different were sainsburys, they seem to use a different type of design, but they were still ok.

We used mum and you nappy pants and found them really good. They are pricey but we needed unscented ones due to daughter's skin at the time.

Not as much as taking nothing off I've been on trips out and changed 3 in the time others faff around with nappy pants and undressing.

Pampers actifit nappy pants. Pricey but no leaks. The sizing is really generous and they don’t irritate my son’s skin.

lidl ones are ok but come up a bit small

It's the most complained about thing in childcare pages along with converse and skinny jeans.
Oh Crap lives up to its name, potty training if a child is ready does not take weeks or require bare bottoms. But she had to have a USP and make parents think it's hard.

Lidl
Boots

Pampers active fit are good, I used them for ages but they’re expensive. I switched to Sainsburys little ones and think they’re better than pampers tbh.

staybyyou · 08/03/2023 05:44

Pampers are the best by far, but they are way more expensive even when on a good offer. I like Asda ones otherwise. We get Tesco quite a bit too but I find they dig in on his hips, the elastic waistband is quite tight.

Shannon9955 · 08/03/2023 08:37

@jannier I've tried everything. Toys, talking to her, giving her something. Even my phone. She just wants to roll over with it all and then if I all sit restrain her it's a screaming fit. So I've cut my losses with that one.

And I've not found it any harder. I just rip the sides tbh to get it off and she will stand holding onto me and I'll pull them up and job done. 3 minute job. My little girl isn't in child care at the moment so that isn't an issue for me

@staybyyou I've found that also. Especially after a nights sleep she has a red ring around her stomach where it's dug in

Sainsburys own brand are good. Pampers are so expensive compared to sainsburys. My son is 4 and in nappy pants so we hve a lot of experience!
