She's at the door, with a carrier bag. She's walking round to nanny's house on her own apparently, to live with nanny. She's crying because I wont get the fairy coat off the peg for her.

She's 4 by the way.

My crime?

I told her not to empty the entire box of lego on the floor.

Drama queen

WE had this at the same age.

Dd got to the end of the drive before she realised she was being a bit daft.

Good fun!

She's packed jammies and a change of clothes. She now has her fairy coat.

But she wants me to walk her to nanny's house because she's scared and its getting dark!

lol
Lego tip - get a blanket to put on the floor and tip the lego onto that, then it is easy to just empty the blanket back into the lego box.

Oh my goodness we just had a stand off, and something that started as laughable turned a bit odd!

I calmly took little notice. She got to the door, she slowly stepped out of the door and down the path...any minute now thinks I. I tried reasoning, ignoring...she got down the path, kept looking back. Im standing at the gate watching her.

Then she's going slowly down the road (on the path)..any minute now, any minute now she's going to give in.

She gets to the corner and I gave in. Ds starts crying "she's going, she's going". So I run down, sweep her up and tell her im faster. She kicks and screams while I carry her back into the house.

She's now asleep on the sofa.

Grrrrrrrrrr.

I reallly think she would have carried on to nan's!

i can recall doing this at that age. I don't know why, but i told my mother i was going to run away, i remember packing one pair of pink knickers in a bag and going to the front door. I said- 'i'm going then' - my mother (clearly knowing i didn't mean it) said 'righie ho, bye then'. Feeling quite dejected i stood at the front door confused, until she peeped round and asked me if i was coming back in yet. I was.
