Hi, I'm just looking for advice really as I'm new to all of this, my daughter is 9 and is currently being assessed for asd, we had the initial appointment and the Dr said there is a lot of markers of her having it, she has to go for a blood test? I've also got to fill out another questionnaire, no problem.
Now here is where I'm concerned, the Dr said by the next appointment she will have a diagnosis but I have to go alone - my daughter can't be there... Does anybody know why as I'm quite anxious about this? Thankyou

A blood test? Where did you find this doctor?

The NHS 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's like a genetic test from what I've googled too see if she has certain markers

Perhaps because you will need to choose how to manage telling your dd and the full diagnosis may be too much for her. She may also be a distraction for you.
