Cloth pull on "pyjama pants"-do these exist?

So they MUST be pull ons, no poppers

for a quite small 2 yo

She is trained (she trained herself, i don't do training...) in the day but nights are quite iffy, and I won't put pressure on her to night time train. But we are getting through those pyjama pant thingies quite fast .

So I need something very very absorbant BUT a pull on

Thoughts?

motherease do them

mother ease bedwetters is what they are called

nannyL · 10/02/2008 10:05

if your child is quite small you may be able to use cheeper ME sandys / toddler ease, which although have poppers they are on the side and you can still pull them up and down while fastened like a pull up....

not sure if a slight 2 year old would be be enough for ME bedwetters yet?

FillyjonkisCALM · 10/02/2008 10:27

oh sorted

she's actually in pyjama pants for a 4 yo atm-because a. pull ups are inadequate at night (and they MUST be pull ups, oh yes ) and b. they have footballs on them

saying that, the plainess of the motherease MIGHT be an issue, off to google to see if they ocme in fancy colours but if not can always tart them up somehow, I'm sure.

what about a minki yoyo if she likes fancy nappies/pants

lailasmum · 10/02/2008 10:34

There are lots around actually. Happy heinys do a pull up that can either be poppered or fully pull up or poppers on just one hip, they are stuffable and in lots of colours. Mother of eden (makers of fuzzi bunz) do night wetter pants too they are very absorbent available in a few colours. Their sizes are available to fit up to 8-10 year in 2 year bands, I always found them a bit on the small side though as the 0-2 size fits up to 6 months and the 2-4 size seems to fit from 6 months to about 2 and a half years and so on so even for a quite small 2 year old you might need the 4-6 size. My daughter is dead skinny and we found even she needed the 4/6 size quickly which was a surprise.

oh gosh

ok when ds was doing this a few years ago, iirc there wasn't anything much aside from trainer pants (but then I don't think I had found MN then, maybe there was)

ok so what do I google/which sites do I go to?

Also am not completely against shelling out £15 a throw for the motherease because a. I have (or will soon have one more child to go through this and b. iirc motherease have a good resale value. (although possibly less if they have been "customised".

and c. those pyjama pants are NOT bloody cheap

whatever I end up with, how many do you think I need? Will be doing a nappy wash daily anyway once db finally appears (5 days overdue) . Could I get away with 2, or do they take ages to dry?

Realisitically a couple of pairs is enough. Babykind do The mother of eden ones and the motherease ones though no colours.

Twinkle on the web have a selection too

Happy Heinys trainer pants are available from cunfy bumfy. You need to buy an insert for these, they have a pocket in them that you put it in, but it does give you the benefit of being able to alter the absorbency to whatever your daughter needs. There are tons of colours too.

curlywurlycremeegg · 10/02/2008 11:51

yes i would say 2 pairs really, so not a huge layout. DD is ver hit and miss with night wees, I am getting away with trainer pants (Fuzzis and Motherease) as she does only seem to do a small wee if she does one. However these are not great if your DC does huges flood the nappy type wees in their sleep

Flamesparrow · 10/02/2008 12:23

I foudn that DD got sore with the motherease ones, the lack of liner and if I tried to put in any kind of liner it runkled up.

She was better off with minki yoyos - you can stuff em as much or as little as you want (depending on how much she wees)

Plus the minkis come in colours and patterns n stuff.

FillyjonkisCALM · 10/02/2008 14:39

I really do need a very absorbant one though, the trainer pants look perhaps a little inadequate for dd though the colours are nice...

what are these stuffables, are they a faff? Don't they get rucked up?

Am not impressed that motherease is only in white though...

The yoyos are fine - stuff em with prefolds or a bamboo square always worked well for us.

duchesse · 11/02/2008 22:02

Kooshies used to do them- we had them for all of ours. Quite cute, they are. I'll see if I can find a link.
