12 months and still no teeth?

My daughter is 1 next week and although she's had signs of teething since about 3 months, none have popped yet? Anybody else's take this long? Is it just a case of waiting or could there be an issue?

my eldest didn't get his first tooth until 16 months! He didn't get the 2 front ones until 3

hes 7 now and still has all his baby teeth, no dentist has ever been concerned. Less wear on the adult teeth

Hi OP! Was the same with my DS, he was a complete gummy bear at 1 year still - even around the 2 year mark the dentist commented that he still didn't have many 😅. My dentist said not to worry as this appears to be the case in younger generations (she didn't know why either 🤣). He is now coming up to 3 and now the proud owner of 20 teeth (he likes to remind me every toothbrushing time) 🥰

My first was definitely over 12 months before even a hint of one. My second was 3 months.

I think the “teething” signs (dribbling and chewing hands etc) really aren’t teething signs at all, it’s just what babies do.

Mine got his first tooth at 11 months.

Apparently it’s usually the bottom ones that come first, the ones in the centre. The gums become harder and lumpier as the tooth comes towards the surface.. have a little feel.
