Any Spanish play-groups near London Canary Wharf?

Hi, I'm desperate, just realised our soon to be 3-year old girl has started to speak English to her Spanish dad. She's trilingual, speaks Finnish with me and goes to English pre-school, but it's her Spanish that is getting less and less space. Doesn't help that my DP is not the most talkative person on the planet. I thought I should try to get DD to a Spanish playgroup (but can I even attend if I don't speak Spanish..), but don't know any. Or should I get a Spanish childminder for a few hours a week (v. tired of nagging at DP he should read a book to DD)? Can anyone help?

Hi. I know it is far, but you might be able to make it. I know there is a great one on fridays afternoon in the library in Greenwich.
Good luck

Hi ya, we run a spanish Songs and Stories in Blackheath Library (if you drive, it's the second exit after the blackwell tunnel, takes 15 min)
If you take the tube, take it one stop to North Greenwich and then take the 108 or 422 bus, it takes 15 min to the library.
Address as follows:

Blackheath Library
Old Dover Rd, Blackheath SE3

Fridays 10:30-11:00

We do go for coffee and a chat after and there is a Swedish mum in the same situation as you who also lives in East London who comes and other English parents who want their children to learn Spanish.

See you there!

Paow,

Besitos a todas

Hola! pues mucha suerte.

Saludos!

Thanks, paow, we definately want to come. Is parking going to be a problem do you think? Also, do we just show up or how does it work? Thanks again.

Hi there, there is parking infront of the library (Old Dover Rd) and it's about 20p per hour, very cheap
Just turn up! no probs it's free!

Hope to see you there.
Paola
