Tula carrier - difficult to put on?

I’ve just bought the Tula explore carrier and find it quite complicated to put on, nowhere online says this so I’m wondering if other brands are similar / it’s something you get used to?

What about it are you finding tricky OP? I don't have that, but it looks a similar style to the Ergobaby Breeze which I do have. Fasten around waist, baby in, shoulder straps on, buckle at the back of neck.

Have you looked on YouTube for instruction videos? They can be helpful.

Maybe I do need to get used to it! I find getting it on you will have to kind of do one handed with a baby (I’m still pregnant so have only practiced currently!) and then getting it off is a bit of a faff? I have watched a YouTube video and the lady made it look so easy.

Have you got a doll? It sounds silly but if you can practice with a doll you will soon get the hang of it. I also have an ergobaby but it looks similar. Fasten the strap around the waist, then once baby is against your chest slide the straps on. The hardest part is fastening the bit at the back.

I had a Tula for both mine and then bought a toddler one when they got bigger because I found them so easy and quick to use. I never used the buggy once my c-section scar had healed. A bit of practise and you'll get the hang of it.

I had this one. It's actually fine. Clip the waist at the front and then swivel it round to the back (like you would a bra), then put the baby in position and put the arm straps on and then do the top fastening behind which you should be able to do with baby in position. If you practice a couple of times you'll soon get the hang of it.

I had Tula's, both Standard & Toddler, for my DC & loved them. Felt much more secure with clips & straps than the ones you tie as I don't trust myself with knots.
I'd recommend loosening the straps a little to put on & tightening them once all clipped in.

I've also got this carrier and always found it really lovely. The bit that can sometimes be tricky is doing up the strap behind your shoulder blades so you just need to make sure it's high enough to reach before putting it on. Fine if you're only doing front carry but if switching between front and back carry sometimes I forget to move it before putting it on.

Lots of baby wearing consultants who run sling libraries around though, there might be one in your area who can advise?
