Weighed dd who was 2 in November. She’s just over 2st 6. Should I be worried about this? She’s pretty tall. Tried to measure her and she’s roughly 94cm ( hard to do as she doesn’t stay still). She doesn’t have any rolls or anything. I keep an eye on what she eats but she’s very fussy and isn’t a great sleeper at all so it’s tricky.

I would check with your gp. That seems really heavy. Kids who are over fed often become over tall before they look overweight or obese.

It doesn’t seem overly heavy to me?
My DC is 2.5 and weighs 2 stone 3 and is 93cm if that helps.

Could you dig your red book out and check the centiles graph?

Seems to work out at just under 98th centile for both height and weight. But when I’ve tried the bmi calculator it says she’s overweight.

My son who was 2 in Dec is same weight and height. He doesn't eat loads (I don't think - I'll list typical day as maybe I'm wrong!) Plus he's pretty active, even more so in spring and summer. He's about 95th percentile I think for both.

Typical day:

Cup of milk with vitamins, sometimes half a banana.

Porridge - small bowl with full fat milk, half teaspoon peanut butter and raspberries. Couple of bites of my belvita.

Snack - 1 small bag mini cheddars

Lunch - 1 slice cheese on toast, nibble of cucumber, blueberries. Maybe 2nd slice if needed.

Snack - apple (or banana if not had in the morning) Possibly a biscuit or small cake but not everyday.

Dinner - typically mash with veg and meat/fish. 1x yoghurt for pudding.
