Travelling with a baby/ Recommendations

So I'm coming up to the end of my mat leave in a few months and I really want to book a holiday with DH & DD (currently 8 months) before I go back and then have to request AL.

Can anyone recommend anywhere UK or abroad to go in April/May time with a 10/11 month old? *or we may do both UK & abroad if we can afford. Or do you think one is better idea than the other?

Also what sort of things would you recommend taking? (Aside from usual baby necessities)

I know this is a bit vague but we're pretty flexible as to where we go and budget but I'm clueless on where to start looking as it's been a few years since I went anywhere pre pandemic and pregnancy!

Thank you x

What kind of holiday do you like? I can give some recommendations of where we've taken our son (though at 18 and 22 months) but we like exploring rather than beach holidays so if you prefer the latter I won't be much help 😅

What kind of holiday do you like?

That is exactly what I was going to ask.

Just remember though that holidays will have changed for both of you Flowers

We did gites in France at that age, during May. Weather was nice but not too hot. Hired a car, did some child friendly day trips, could do some sight seeing while DC napped in buggy. We booked somewhere baby friendly, with high chairs, cot etc. No pool, but the owners would fill up a paddling pool for us do it was a nice temperature when we got back. There was also a nearby outdoor public o that we made us of. DC could potter about and play, the gite had toys and an on-site playground and trampoline. We could sit in the garden with a glass of wine when DC in bed. We had some really lovely holidays then, and apart from taking buggy, car seat, and some milk supplies, we didn't have to take much paraphernalia with us. The gite owners offered a shopping service, so they got nappies etc. in for us.
