When does it get easier?

Hi,

I have 2 DC. DS3 and DD1.
I thought it would start getting easier now DD is 1 and I'm back to work, but it's still so difficult.

I find it easy with just one of them as I can still go about my daily routine ie cleaning, cooking, shopping etc But with two they constantly want my attention and I get so stressed trying to be attentive to both.

For example tonight Dd was exhausted after nursery and was screaming while eating her dinner , but then ds needed a wee and won't go upstairs on his own so had to get screaming baby out of high chair to go upstairs with ds. Sounds so silly but this is constant.

They also BOTH still wake up in the night a lot. DD was sleeping through but must have hit a regression and DS still comes into my bed at night and wakes for the toilet a lot.

Me and dh are exhausted as we both work full time hours (me over 3 days)

DS behaviour at school hasn't been good either so that's another thing to worry about.

I basically just want to know at what ages other people found it just got enjoyable and less stressful...

I'm in the same boat, when my 3yo needs a wee halfway through a meal, but won't go upstairs by himself, and I'm trying to deal with his 6mo brother... grr! (And I do make sure he goes before a meal too)
Then gets back to the table and tells me it's gone cold! Of course it has!
We do however make sure there's minimal drinks after 5pm (bedtime at 7). If he says he's thirsty before bedtime then he has about an inch of water in a cup. He does have plenty of drinks during the day though.

So I can't really say when it gets easier but I know they are still so young with high needs so must smooth out by the time they're both at school.

Truthfully - we had a period when mine were between 5 and 10 but Dd is 14 and DS 10 and it is the hardest it has ever been! DD is definitely a teenager and DS is an early going through puberty and both still want my attention at the same time

For me it was age 4. Big difference between 3 and 4.
