Hi
I'm new to here and apologies if a thread like this is already up. I have a wriggly baby at nappy changes. He is very difficult to change and likes to roll and not stay still.
Anyone else had similar and what worked?

Thank you.

I ended up buying a Rabbit changing mat that had straps (you may have seen them on baby changing rooms particularly ones at service stations for some reason). My mother in law was horrified, but DS2 was an absolute nightmare so I needed something to help. It wasn't uncomfortable for him, and he didn't fight against the straps once they were done up. But with nothing to hold him he would NOT LIE STILL AT ALL!!!

I have one of these! I give her my phone, keys, or something else she can't usually have and she's so distracted she stops wriggling. The other thing that helps is using reusable nappies with the poppers. Then you just need to line it up and squeeze, which I can do while she's crawling away. With disposables it's a nightmare as I end up fastening the tabs in the wrong places every time.

I used to play a nappy time song on the Alexa, and give little one a specific toy. It was an electronic one and she didn't have many of those, so think it was a good distraction.

DS was a nightmare for a few months, constantly trying to roll over and getting poo everywhere. I resorted to sitting on the floor with him between my legs, holding his ribs with my feet while changing him as fast as I could! Fortunately now at 11 months he's calmed down enough for the holding a toy to work.
