Daughter being bullied and I found voicenotes...

Hi
My daughter caught the eye of a new school member who had recently been expelled from previous school. Within a couple of weeks she had used the N word, called a girl in a hijab a terrorist to name but 2... there were many complaints about her, but for some reason ( my daughter seems to have worked out why ) she picked on her as the main reason she was being suspended AGAIN. We know this wasn't true, but the fact remains. Very sadly my DD's friend got cosy with the new girl and has left about 8 voicenotes - all aggressive - but some really threatening, including mentioning that if she gets me involved I'm dead. Several times she mentions me being dead. I know with social connections - communication and language is different, but can you offer advice. I've spoken to the school yesterday = but before I found the voicenotes. So grateful for your thoughts and advice xxxx

That sounds awful! I have generally tried to stay out of school stuff, but this is something I would have to wade in on!

If your dd received threatening messages and voice notes I'd get the police involved. Make sure you save them. Don't let DD delete them. Schools tend to try to keep things internal and give little chats to the person instigating the threats then tell parents they have dealt with it. Don't be fobbed off go straight to the police.

I would let the school know, and I would also contact the police.

Send copies of the voice notes to the school.

Involve the police.

Police 100% it won't resolve on its own and school will try to minimise it
