Did you/do you wake your DC up for a night time wee?

Do you or did you ever "lift" your child out of bed when you go to bed to go for a wee?

My son is 5 and still not dry at night. We'll have periods where he will get up at night and go for a wee and then we'll have long periods where despite wearing pull ups at night he's soaking wet.
I know about waiting for a hormone to kick in and guess we still have to wait.

My question is, should I be getting him up to try for a wee at around the time I go to bed?

Did you do that and it did work for your child to be dry at night?

It's all a hormone thing in the brain.... If you lift, you need to make sure you wake them.

Had same issue with one of mine, slept through a wee alarm although we could hear it downstairs etc. Then it just happened.

I gave mine a drink at tea time, then only if he asked for one. Then I woke him when I went to bed and walked him to and from the loo. This is what made him dry at night.

No! I would hate to be woken to be made to do something so I wouldn't inflict it on a child
