My youngest will be starting a 9-3 playgroup type nursery, where you send them in with a packed lunch. They don’t heat up food onsite, and considering she usually has pasta or beans (fussy eater), I’m looking for inspiration as to what I send her in with.

Cold pasta with ham and cucumber or whatever she’ll manage in it could work
brioche buns or wraps or sandwich thins with ham and/or cheese go down well with mine or a “cracker sandwich”. Anything that’s not normal bread essentially.
i always put I a sandwich type element, yoghurt, piece of fruit and one thing like cheese dunkers, cheese cubes, mini sausages, kids cereal bar, kids veg crisps, babybel, soreen loaf,
You might find she eats better there as other kids will be eating and she’ll do the same

You could always get a food flask and send something warm?

Do those work or will pasta etc go gloopy?

Some type of protein: tuna, ham, chicken, egg, peanut butter, cheese, houmous, salmon, mini sausages.

Some form of carb: breadsticks, crackers, bread, bagel, wrap, crumpet, pitta bread, roll, pasta, couscous, rice.

Some type of veg: carrot sticks, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, sweetcorn, raw mushrooms.

Some fruit.

Yoghurt.

In any combination she will eat them.

With our three year old we often send in cold pasta (dinner leftovers!) that she happily eats, or quiche as her ‘main’ element, along with a yoghurt, some cheese or cheesy crackers, an oaty bar and some fruit. She’s not a fan of sandwiches so we just put in stuff she likes for dinner at home

My son loves lentil omelettes and will happily eat them cold. Super quick and easy - omelette on the pan, strip of cheese, pile of cooked lentils on top (meat optional)

Banana and french toast is also a big hit for us

I got a thermos lunch box and will fill it with hot water first to warm it up and add cooked pasta with chicken or something protein based. I will put sweetcorn, cucumber slices, raspberries/strawberries and a yogurt. Sometimes I will put pancakes with fruit and yogurt and some days I will put a chicken and cheese sandwich with cucumbar, carrot sticks and humous in a tiny pot. I will basically do carbs, protein, veg and fruit. We are not allowed to use nuts or seeds though.
