My son is 14m. He has never been a particularly good sleeper but generally he was doing 7-7 with 2 or 3 wake ups, one of which we’d have to give him some milk to settle him again, usually around 3am.
At the moment he is cutting all 4 of his canines and he is also taking his first steps so he is obviously feeling some big emotions and eating less than normal. For the past week and a half he has been sleeping til 5am without waking up (which is great!) but problem is he will not go back down again if he wakes this close to morning time, even if we go in and give him milk. This is resulting in a very tired boy during the day, wanting naps early and also very tired mummy.
I’m certain he is waking due to hunger as he isn’t eating as much as normal due to his teething.
Would you implement a dream feed at say 11pm to try to prolong his sleep til 7am just temporarily until his teeth are though?
Worried its a slippery slope but also desperate for some sleep!
