Good morning

Not necessarily a parenting question but can anybody recommend any Netflix (or any other app) series to get me through newborn napping. He won’t sleep anywhere else apart from on me so trapped for hours at a time!

Thanks very much!

I was the same as you!

nice to have some proper me time .

I recommend trying some stuff in foreign language stuff as you can mute it and put the subtitles on and baby can sleep undisturbed and not worry about earbuds

Miss Maisel series is good . Not so funny that You would wake the baby laughing, not so gripping that you’d feel hard done by if the baby woke up during an episode.

I like watching anything really, but enjoy easy going shows that don’t take a lot of brain space.

Just finished Ginny and Georgia.

I really enjoyed Offspring
Aussie drama about a dysfunctional family with adult kids. The main character is a gynaecologist. Quite funny, but moving in places too. Several seasons so would keep you going. And the last season is the final one so it does actually finish properly.

I've got a 7 week old who will also only sleep on me in the daytime!
So far I've watched The Good Place, Brooklyn 99, Expedition with Steve Backshall, Ru Paul's Drag Race. Would also recommend Blown Away on Netflix.
I'm just starting Masterchef Australia, which will keep me busy for a while!
UKTV Play is a great free option :)

I'm unfortunately housebound and work free for a few weeks so very attached to Netflix. Some of the foreign language drama is fabulous and I love watching with subtitles

Loved Smiley a gay romance set in Barcelona. And enjoying Young Royals, a steamy Swedish melodrama about a Scandinavian boarding school for the children of the elite. Also Merli. Another Spanish drama set in the philosophy department of a university. Sexier than it sounds.

Nothing challenging but lots of gorgeous people often with their clothes off in wonderful European scenery.

I recommend the Letdown, it's an Australian comedy about a mum with a young baby. I watched it twice earlier this year when mine was a newborn!

With DD1 I watched all of How I Met Your Mother, with DD2 I watched all of House.

As a PP said, if you like cooking shows I would 100% recommend Masterchef Australia. There are maybe 13 series and about 60 episodes in each and they are a joy; so much positivity.

Otherwise I like Greys Anatomy.

I’ve been watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix. Also like Motherland and Love life. Something subtitled is a good idea as you can have the volume on nice and low - Call My Agent is great.

I came on to recommend this. Brilliantly written and very true in places.

Same same, this time last year! I watched:
Good Girls
Ginny and Georgia
Dead to Me
Working Moms
Firefly Lane
Emily in Paris

I wanted stuff that wasn't too demanding and stuff my DH wouldn't be interested in 😂

Mrs Wilson is worth a watch as it's only four episodes but great viewing based on a true story. I also like the Harlan Coven series on Netflix.
