Baby Feeding Issues

Hi All, My baby is not feeding. He is three months 18 days today. He started rejecting milk at around 3 month mark but was not that bad. He would reject the breast at times but at other times would be completely fine also fed well while sleeping. On monday he had his 12 week vaccinations and he is not feeding after that. He starts crying and screaming when I try to position him for the feed(he is breastfed exclusively). I try to feed him whenever he is asleep but he is not taking alot while sleeping either. During the day he wakes up if I try to feed him during the naps. He has become more irritable and agitated as well. He was a very peaceful baby before. I am losing my mind, mums please help me.
I informed my gp on Thursday but they were of no help. He got a bit better for two days but today he is completely rejecting the breast again. Please help! Thank you

Can you call your local breast feeding support team? Have a look on Kelly Mom website too.

my now 4m had a bit of a nursing strike after her 12wk vax.

id suggest going back to basics, whip the bra off, have easy access tops. Do loads of skin to skin. Offer regularly but don’t force it, relax. If you’re sore express for comfort.

my LO feeds between 8-12 times in 24 hours for between 90 mins and 2 and a half hours now.

HOpe you’re ok

Is he not having any feeds at all, or just fewer feeds? Around that age they often become more efficient feeders and don’t need to feed as often, so if you’re trying to feed as much as when they were a newborn that’ll be why they don’t want it? It’s also a point where they often become more distractable and want to look around rather than feed. Making the environment calmer and darker can help.
Also why are you trying to feed him when he’s asleep?

Mine has fairly frequent days where she doesn't want to feed. Seems to be related to wind in her case, and it's often worse on one breast (the right) than the other. I'm used to it now and know to just leave it a few hours, only feed her when she's really asking for it, and not stress.

As long as he's still weeing and pooing as normal he's okay.

@Catsonskis thank you for the suggestion. I will try getting in touch with them.

@BuffaloCauliflower
He is not feeding at all and that is why I am really worried. I mean he is getting in some milk while asleep but definitely not enough. Today for example he fed properly at around 6 am after that it has been just a minute or two of latching a couple of times.I fed him two to three times at night before this, now I am just feeding him while sleeping/napping because that is the only time he accepts the breast. I might be obsessive but I am constantly worried now and getting really frustrated.

@CoalCraft
I have tried letting him be and not force, but then i start worrying when it has been 6ish hours.How long can i let him go without milk? The thing is that he gets angry and starts crying when I offer him the breast instead of getting comforted and it is really getting to me.
He is peeing okay but hasn't pooped since friday ( he used to poop daily)

Thank you for your responses everyone.

Is it six hours without so much as a sip or six hours without a "proper feed"? If he's not taking anything at all for six hours during the day time I would suggest going back to GP but if he's having the odd swallow and is still weeing normally then I'd trust that he's getting enough.

If his poo schedule is out of whack then it might be has a "backlog" and that's adding to his discomfort.

Six hours without a sip. But now i do try to put him to sleep around the 4 hour mark and feed him. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I will call the gp tomorrow. Thank you for your response and time.
