Baby really unsettled and not himself

I’m a first time mum and such a worrier. My LB is 6 months next week and is completely off his milk today and yesterday. Today he’s had less than 400ml and it’s 4pm, when normally he has 6 x 210ml bottles during the day. He’s super tired, quite unsettled and fussy/cranky, and for the last 3 days has had runny poo with firmer bits in and seemed to struggle passing it (not pain just noticeable effort). He doesnt have a temperature. He has been waking more the last few nights making a whining noise either for a cuddle or for food.
He had 2 teeth come in last week and rolled for the first time yday so developmentally he has a lot going on.
He’s only really had a cold before in terms of being ill. Does it sound like maybe he has a stomach bug or similar?

Sounds like teething to me.

Yes I was going to say teething. And the right age for it as well.

Sorry that wasn’t very helpful, I would try teething powder and making sure he’s always got something to chew such as those icy bite things. Is he dribbling?

They do often get a bit ill when teething… probably from putting their fingers in their mouths so often and rubbing germs into their gums.

Hope he feels better soon but there’s nothing there that sounds serious.

Nurofen or calpol if he seems to be uncomfortable.

Everything is going in his mouth at the moment, if I give him a teething toy he soaks through a bib. I can’t see any top teeth coming through but the bottom two last week surprised us as he was generally fine before they popped through! As I cant see or feel the top teeth I assumed (naively) it wouldn’t be teething.

Wet a muslin, freeze it and give it him to chomp on. And the teething toys are excellent, bibs are meant to catch that drool!

Keep an eye on him. You know him best.
