Double buggy

Due a month after my son turns 3 - he is much bigger and heavier for his age. Ideally didn't want a side by side buggy, more on top of eachother kind. Was looking at the Egg 2 tandem. Not sure if it has weight restrictions?

Recommendations pls

With a 3 year old you may be better with a buggy board. My eldest was 3 when I had DC2, we went for the Out n About double as it has a high weight limit (he’s 5 now and we still use it as he has SEN). I think he would have outgrown something like the Egg tandem quite quickly and he’s smaller for his age

My son is an amputee so he can't walk for too long with his prosthetic just yet. But yes I will look for a buggy board with a seat if they do those? Can they attach to any travel system then? Thanks

I'd use a sling and single pushchair and/or a buggy board. None of mine were in a pushchair at 3 but if dc are I can't see they'll be in need for long/won't want to be using it all the time.
As a mother of twins I can tell you a double pushchair can be a nightmare to get around with.

Yes I’ve seen buggy boards with seats (my DS1 won’t sit on one which is why we ended up with a double!)
