Rsv/bronchiolitis recovery

My son had rsv when he was 2 weeks old. He was hospitalised for 5 days total, 3 of them days in intensive care.
However we’re almost 5 weeks later now and he’s still head bobbing, retracting, breathing slightly faster than he should. I’ve taken him to his gp and the hospital so many times and each time his oxygen and all that is completely fine. Surely this isn’t normal? Also, has anybody else experienced the same thing especially that it’s taking him so long to recover?

My DD was hospitalised twice last winter (she was 2, mind you) and was diagnosed with viral wheeze and given an inhaler. So for us yeah she continued to have some difficulties which recommenced with this year's cold and flu season again (mostly laboured breathing and night coughing). Keep going to GP / A&E to check oxygen whenever you get worried and don't feel guilty.

I have a feeling because it was so severe and he was so young that he'll have asthma, if he doesn't already. Apparently they won't diagnose him so young if he does.

I feel embarrassed going all the time tbh. I know he's nowhere near as bad as he was though, it's just stressful and makes me anxious
