Staying in a cold house with baby?

We will soon be spending 2 weeks at my parents house in New Zealand with our 7 month baby. Surprisingly the bedrooms are reaching 10 degrees overnight even though it is the middle of summer (poorly insulated house without central heating). Is this temperature OK for a baby and what bedding would I need? At home we have the thermostat set at 16 overnight and she wears a 2.5 tog sleeping bag, vest and sleepsuit. The only warmer part of the house are the living rooms kept at 16 degrees by a heat pump but DD is used to sleeping in our room and won’t be in her own room until we move house after getting back from this trip.

Long sleeve vest, long sleeve sleepsuit and a 3.5 tog sleeping bag would be my starting point I think.

As above plus blanket. Our bedroom was about this in the recent cold snap and my DD was newborn. It was miserable having to breastfeed in a cold draughty room!

Thanks for the advice! I will look for a 3.5 tog sleeping bag, maybe second hand as I don’t think I’ll get much use from it here unless the heating breaks. Is it OK to use blankets over sleeping bags? We have been using the Love to Dream ones (currently transitioned to arms out) and their website says not too. My daughter is a bit of a wriggler at night so still worried about the suffocation risk of blankets - is this still a risk at 7-8 months?

Hey @trrk if you look on Amazon there is a 3.5 tog sleeping bag with sleeve (zip on and off). Has woodland animals on it and about 200 reviews, for 25 quid. We've got one and it's so thick. I reckon that should be okay along with long sleeved vest and sleepsuit.

10degrees is pretty chilly though - would they consider getting in an oil filled radiator for the room, just to boost it a few degrees?
