Does this sound too unhealthy?

23 months old has allergies to milk, eggs, nuts, sesame seeds and some fruits.

Today he ate:
honey hoops with oat milk
a bowl of blueberries
a bowl of grapes
toast with dairy free butter and strawberry jam
rice with chicken curry and potato
pasta with mackerel
half an apple
a biscuit and some more crackers

writing this down it sounds like an awful lot, but he is very tiny and has small portions.

I would have thought he would need to eat a lot if he can't have milk or eggs. I think I'd find my LO hard to fill up without dairy products!

How do the allergy manifests?is a very good possibility that the child will grow out of it in time , i wouldn’t completely stop these foods .if they don’t have severe reactions I would introduce these foods very little and every now and then in the child diet. I know many children with food allergies when young and now 10-15 yrs later they’ll eat everything

Actually looks fairly healthy. Only thing is it’s all fruit for the fruit & veg food group, so I’d swap a couple bits of fruit for vegetables.

I honestly would not do this without asking the pediatrician or allergist first. Some food allergies are such that the reaction gets progressively more severe with each exposure, cumulating in anaphylaxis. So I’d want expert medical advice before exposing any child to a known allergen they have.

Quite a bit of sugar although the sugar in the fruits is natural its still there. Can he have plain hoops instead of honey hoops for breakfast? Or switch one of the fruit portions for some veg?

rice with chicken curry and potato
pasta with mackerel

These both sound delicious!

The morning food is relatively sugary to split hairs. Does a 23 month old need honey hoops or jam? I’d probably sub them out. Just from experience of having an older toddler who is an absolute fruit fiend - we’ve realised he really shouldn’t routinely have any more sugar on top of what he’s consuming in fruit, otherwise he consumes far too much. Other than that looks grand.
