Toodler has fever of 38 and sore throat should I be worried?

Me and my husband have had a sore throat and feeling a bit unwell now today my baby has 38c fever and has a sorr throat but no cough or runny nose and is eating and drinking okay at the moment. Should I be worried for strep A? Couldn’t get a gp appointment and don’t want to take him down to A&E as there’s. A strike today they will be so so busy
any suggestions?

Had this at the weekend with my toddler. Temp was 40 though and only came down to 38 with ibuprofen. She’s ok now but we did get an antibiotic for her
