It's in management

I'm really struggling - I mean I just make decisions - I don't know why

flip a coin

KatyMac · 02/02/2008 13:23

Well yes - it does get that sad sometimes - I am bad at making decisions - I think it is because I have too much imagination

But I'm not getting what the course wants

is that like a cost/benefit analysis (not that I know what it is !)

pros and cons

Please let me know when you've found out, I am congenitally incapable of making any decision at all!

KatyMac · 02/02/2008 13:52

Hmm I have had an idea on another thread

"OK so if I did a table (tables can be in the appendix & don't count for words) which said person A can do 5 jobs, needs training for 3 jobs, and could never do 2 jobs then for each other person....

Then that would show whether a, B or c were the best person for the job?"

OP posts:
KatyMac · 02/02/2008 14:19

Only it doesn't because the person who is going to do the job doesn't come out best - however no one else will do it...poop

is it for recruitment then you have a list of essential requirements, desirtable etc

KatyMac · 02/02/2008 14:29

No it's for promotion

My deputy is going to take over my job - My assignment is about the change management
Someone else comes out better - but she won't do the job -plus deputy would be a bit peeved

I need to show a simple DMT - I am so annoyed with this

well the technique seems to be to ask the potential candidates if they want to do it

so you have selected candidates shortlist of two you ask the killer question decision made

From Appendices E, F & G it is clear that LMc, AG and AMc are all qualified for the position of Childminding Manager. As mentioned before as LMc is employed elsewhere and unwilling to resign that job she is not able to take on the new role. Upon discussion with AG and AMc it became clear the AG was ready for the natural promotion from deputy to manager and that AMc still needs some work on confidence, management techniques and assertiveness.

Like that?

sounds like it to me..someone who is not prepared to take the job and you have looked at her reasons

KatyMac · 02/02/2008 14:39

Is that and the table a SDMT?

ZippiBabes · 02/02/2008 14:40

ZippiBabes · 02/02/2008 14:42

looks like it examples

KatyMac · 02/02/2008 14:46

That's what I was thinking - thank you for your help
