that they have another sister, any suggestions????

My DD is 2yrs old but has a sister on her dads side.

She has to be told but how and when

Trying to brush it under the carpet as usual; when i try and talk about it he brushes me off and i give up...

my advice would be to mention the sibling in passing and gradually as child gets older mention child more and more. At a young age it is much easier to cope with. Small children seem to adjust as they've never known any different. Dd has a half sister (who is older than dd)and although they had no contact dd was always aware of her existance. Dd has recently met her sister and it has helped dd come to terms with the treatment she has received from her father as he has treated his eldest in a similar fashion

In contrast I found out about a half brother because he was in the year above me at secondary school and too many teachers kept asking me if he was my brother. My parents had to tell me at that point and at 12 it was a big deal.
