Small birthday party ideas for 5yo old

Hello

I have a bit of dillema. My little one turns 5 in Jan and we don't know what to do for his birthday. We have an option to either do a big party and invite the whole class or do a small one for about 5-6 kids from outside of school. Initially we didn't want to do any but all of the sudden there are some invites coming from his classmates and he started asking about his own. I feel like doing a party for 25kids at this age is bit over the top but I struggle to come up with an idea/finding a place that could accommodate a much smaller group. Our house is too small, it would be easier if it would be spring/summer and we could use garden but not in Jan.

The only option we came up with so far is to reserve few tables at soft play but they get so busy that I am not sure how enjoyable it would be for the whole party. Sadly there are no soft play places around us that would have separate rooms for small party. It is usually 20 kids.

I would welcome any ideas pls.

Cinema trip and pizza/Nandos afterwards.

Trip to a trampoline park with food afterwards.

Ice skating and food.

Trip to other local activity and food.

We just had a pizza making party at pizza express for my daughter's 5th birthday. We had 12 kids, but you can have more/less. It was great! They made pizzas, had games, ice cream. All we had to do was the cake and the party bags. It was £12 a child. Oh and it's before the restaurant opens so parents can hang around and have a coffee while it's happening.

I really loved pizza making at pizza express. I called few around me and they either don't do it or have no availability for next few months. But that's exactly something I am looking for.

Bowling or cinema is great for a handful of kids.
