Help with sterilising

Hi, need some help and advice with sterilising please. We have a Tommee Tippee microwave steriliser. These can sterilise multiple bottles and items at once. They say that when sealed and unopened the contents remain sterile for 24 hours. What I would like to know is, once I open it and take a bottle out to be prepared and there is a bottle remaining in the steriliser. Will I have to sterilise it again at the next feed as it has been opened. Or is there some way I can keep the remaining bottle and items sterile? Thanks for the help guys this is our first born boy.

I put the lids on the bottles when I take them out of the steriliser and apparently that keeps the inside sterile until you put milk in.

It’s fine! Sterilising is to kill any milk residue that may be left behind after washing because it can harbour really nasty bacteria.

You don't need to re sterilise the other bottles once it's opened. Technically, the bottles are not sterile, but they don't actually need to be sterile to feed a baby safely. The purpose of using a steriliser is to kill off any germs from formula that might have been missed when the bottles were washed, once they have been through the steriliser, they will be safely clean.
