Hi all,

my little girl had her 1 year immunisations (including MMR) 8 days ago.
she had a blotchy rash on her face last night which has progressed to entire body throughout today.
still playing as normal, slightly raised temp but now fine dosed up on calpol. I’ll attach a photo.

has anyone else’s little one experienced this?

thank you x

I would 100% get them seen to asap or atleast ring 111 to see what they say. Just to be on the safe side

Get off mumsnet and seek professional help.

Ring 111. It’s unlikely to have anything to do with the vaccine. Looks like a viral rash.

Needs checked asap op

It was my GP and 111 who said reaction to MMR as apparently it can take 1-2 weeks for a reaction. I’ve never heard of this that’s why I wanted to know if anyone else has had anything similar

Oh bless her! Glad she's still happy in herself. Did the GP see the rash at all or was it a telephone consult? We've not long had our 1 year jabs and one of the girls in our antenatal group got a rash a week later. A call and telephone appt with the GP resulted in the same advise of "it's just a reaction" but as it turned out, it was HFM. (Not that this looks like that - point being that any rash around this time tends to get lumped into the vaccines even when they haven't physically seen it!).

Hope she perks up soon!

Olivia199 · 29/11/2022 19:02

I'd agree to getting it seen ASAP if they haven't looked at her!

Sorry ... third post.. it is common that they can react 1-2 weeks later. My daughter didn't get a rash but had a horrible temp and was a bit miserable around that time despite being fine straight after. The nurse warned us that they can develop side effects later down the line with these.
