How would you wean my baby?

DS is 13 months, healthy, happy. Eats solids very well. He was night weaned a month ago (we did cold turkey which took 3 days and he's slept through since).

We want to fully wean him now. He has one nap a day. He is breastfed before his nap and before he goes to sleep at night. He is able to self settle.

Would you...

Go cold turkey and ditch both feeds at once, replacing them with cow's milk?

Ditch one first, then the other a couple of weeks later?

Something else?

I’d drop both, I think.

When I weaned the last feed to go was the bedtime one, and dropped it at nap times earlier, but if you can bear to do both at once I think it’s probably easier for the general sleep association to get broken in one chunk. I did gentle weaning so moved the breastfeed a bit earlier in the bedtime routine before bath and then when it came to replacing with a sippy of warm milk it wasn’t right before falling asleep.

Id ditch daytime one first, bedtime last. Just because thats the pattern that mine both did, i let them self-wean.
Well done for feeding to 13 months, thats a huge achievement.

I would do one at a time as much for your comfort as well as for him

Oooh split opinions so far! Good idea to break the sleep association first, by separating the breastfeed from the sleep slightly.

I'd do one at a time mainly for your comfort but no harm in breaking the feed/sleep association all at once.
