I have apologised in advance - on Sunday my DD was sick in the car now her car seat stinks of vomit. DP has cleaned it but it still reeks and makes me heave when I have to put her in it.

How do I get rid of this vile smell?

TIA!! x

Have you washed the cover?

Can I remove the cover then and stick in the washer?

Thanks

And if all else fails, I find Febreeze (sp?) works wonders

Tommy · 30/01/2008 16:34

it's horrible isn't it? When you've done all that, make sure you drive around with the windows open and spray lots of Febreeze in there.

Our car stank for weeks after DS1 threw up in it

Poppychick · 30/01/2008 17:15

Thanks all - having a bit of a faff getting it off and trying not to throw up!

The weather's about to get colder - put it outside for a while too, after the bicarb wash. The cold air might zap some of the smell.

Sympathies...I've been there more than once. Truly horrific !

Poppychick · 30/01/2008 20:18

in the washer now - we finally got the cover off heaven knows how or if we'll get it back on.

Thanks
