Stop them waking for pacifier/dummy?

5 month DD has started only having 1 feed on a night which is AMAZING.

But, she still wakes probably 5-7 times wanting her pacifier. Thrashing around her crib and eventually waking herself up. Most of them time once she has it back she will go back to sleep but sometimes she needs a 5 minute cuddle.

Any tips on reducing this? Or does it get better soon?

5 or so dummies scattered around the cot (you can get glow in the dark ones) so there is always one within reach.

Sorry I can't remember if 5months is old enough to put the dummy in themselves, but as soon as they can this is a good technique.

You're about 3 months early for that unfortunately!

If I were you I'd just ditch the dummy OP.

Its either the dummy, or if you remove he is likely to find thumb to suck which is a much harder habit to break.

I just have 5 or so dummies in the cot so when he wakes, i just run my hand around her cot to find one and pop it in. Also have ollie the owl white noise machine that plays automatically when he wakes and whinges for dummy and most of the time that sends him back to sleep.

If you are going to remove dummies you need to replace it with some other type of comforter.

Put a load of dummies in the cot. Try the glow in the dark ones

too young to take away the dummy and like a PP said they’ll only start thumb sucking
