Lazy or not ready?

4 year old DD has just wet my bed as rather than going to the toilet has peed in her nappy which is absolutely loaded.
I can't decide if she's ready to not have a nappy on a night or she's just lazy.
Need some tips. I've tried with no nappy to bed but I just end up with a wet bed but if she goes for a sleepover she some how manages to stay dry Hmm

I'd just keep the nappies on and wait until you have a few dry morning nappies.

How long is she in bed for?

At a sleepover she’s probably not as deeply asleep as she would be at home, so that could explain it, as could going to bed later. I wouldn’t think that she’s doing it on purpose from that alone. That said at 4 my DD was waking up dry and peeing in her pull up rather than getting up to go to the loo and once we realised that, we took them away and it stopped. If your DD is genuinely going in her sleep though then I would stick with nappies/pull up until you’ve had a week straight of them being dry whilst doing what you can to help- limit drinks in the evening, extra wee right before bed, no blackcurrant etc. If you are getting leaks then try a different brand, use a waterproof sheet under her normal sheet and double up so you just strips away the wet layer and don’t need to remake the bed in the middle of the night. Each to their own but there’s also no way I’d have her in my bed either if there was a chance of wetting!
