Was still waking up 6+ times a night, never slept more than 4 hours etc, when did their sleep improve?? Did things improve over time or suddenly and if you did anything to help, what and when?

not that I’m desperate or anything…

About the 10 month mark we had an amazing run of 7-7 sleeps. They are all different though. We are firmly in a sleep regression now though at 13 months, think we are coming out the other side, but it’s been a tough 5 weeks, it’s grim when you’re back at work 😩

Think the only thing that really changed was he wore himself out more physically as he was crawling, and we got more milk down him in the day so he wasn’t waking for it overnight. As I said though, it all went to shit a few months later!

thanks for the reply!! Hope the regression passes soon for you.
I appreciate that it’s a rollercoaster and one good night doesn’t mean it will all be better but just wistfully thinking…

I here you, mine 19 months as still doesn't sleep.. we brought him in our bed so we could sleep - nope not happening.

Cos of this I think he isn't developing and always poorly.

I've been to the doctors and kept being told it's a phase. My son end up in hospital where this time finally seeing someone.

Good luck, it's tough.

Until about 11 months 5 wakes for us was a good night with 7/8 being average, then quite suddenly 5 wake ups became a bad night with 2/3 being average. Before 11months he mostly woke every 2 hours with the occasional 3/4 hour stretch. But now he mostly does 4-6 hour stretches. He is 14 months now and we are still getting random difficult nights but sleep is significantly better.

We started co-sleeping full time at about 7/8 months as this got us the most sleep.

Things got much better when he was more active and had dropped to one nap at 11.5 months.

Hope things improve for you soon!

My dd never slept until I took her to a cranial osteopath. She was 3

Sleep improved when I began co-sleeping. I could not take the sleep deprivation. She'd wake up, see me, and go back to sleep. I know because I woke up too. Nature is amazing and we are hardwired to respond to our babies. It's much easier when you stop trying to separate from a baby when the only thing they need is to not be separated from their mother.
